The summer for Apple has been a bit sluggish with iPhone sales being slow. There were a number of reasons cited for this with one of them being customers just waiting to buy the new iPhone 5 when it becomes available.
Well, the wait is almost over now and there are a few predictions that suggest that sales for Apple are going to pick up in a big way. In fact, one analyst has estimated that we could see 10 million iPhone 5 sales in just the month of September with the only thing preventing the Cupertino company from reaching this number is some kind of disaster on launch day tomorrow.
The prediction came by way of Gene Muster, an analyst with Piper Jaffray, but he’s not the only one that has been positive about the iPhone 5 with others suggesting that this could be the “biggest upgrade in consumer electronics history.” As it stands now, it’s believed that after Apple officially launches the device tomorrow, it will be available for pre-order by the end of the week with customers being able to buy one off the shelf on September 21st. With customer interest in this device being so high, it will not be demand that will be the limiting factor but rather available supplies with Cupertino expecting maximum capacity from their suppliers to meet consumer demands.
