Aliph Jawbone Icon Headsets

Aliph has been in the Bluetooth headset business for a while, and they’ve just recently released their latest offering — the Jawbone Icon. As expected, it tries to blend form with function, and it doesn’t fall short.

Aliph’s NoiseAssasin technology, which differentiates your voice from any background noise, gets an upgrade in the Jawbone Icon series, so voice quality is much clearer. You can still connect up to eight different phones to the device, as well as the feature to talk to two phones at the same time.

What’s fun about the Jawbone Icon headsets is a piece of software named MyTALK — a sort of App Store for the headset, but everything’s free. You can use MyTALK to personalize your device to your liking, such as by selecting from a slew of voices, including the Thinker, the Ace, or the Rogue. Other Dial “apps” let you create shortcuts to your most preferred features such as directory assistance.

The Jawbone Icon lasts 10 days on standby and offers about 4.5 hours of talk time. It’s currently available in the United States for around $100, and comes in six different designs to choose from — there’s something for everyone.
