One of the most memorable scenes within the Alien movie franchise is the one of the alien bursting through the chest cavity of its victim. That scene is probably ingrained in the minds of many and the Alien Chestburster PS3 Case Mod simply adds some permanence to this movie scene.
The new do it yourself case mod comes at a time when we just reviewed another over the top case mod, the Kratos God Of War, the difference being that the Kratos one was a PC case mod.
The Alien Chestburster on the other hand is a PS3 mod. The design work belongs to GivinTats who isn’t new to this field having created other equally visually stunning designs like the Transformers All Spark Xbox 360 Case Mod. In his new custom PS3 mod, modder GivinTats has elected to make the alien a touch more cyborg like as it takes on the traits of its host.
The addition of blood splatter and the broken circuit board just add to the detail of what is really a piece of artwork. Additional pictures of GivinTats work as well as the build process are available at the Llama Forums.
