The Algo Glide Mouse that was unveiled at CES 2010 makes another attempt at reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI). The “next generation” mouse is not the first to tackle this growing medical problem, other hardware accessories have come before it such as Evoluent Vertical Mouse 3 and the more tongue and cheek Bloody Stump Wrist Rest.
The Algo Glide Mouse is a lightweight mouse that has indentations for your fingertips, using which you can control left and right mouse button clicks. There is also a side scroll wheel that is thumb operated. This ultra portable mouse is both Windows and Mac compatible and requires one free USB connection. This new design would certainly take some time to get used to, but assuming the design took off, who knows, perhaps we’ll see a wireless version down the road. For now though, this $30 wired mouse is available in pink, red or blue.
