Love it or hate it, Acer’s Aspire G desktop PC is coming back for Round 2.
Last year, the first Aspire G (also known as Predator) received quite a bit of attention, what with all that hardware in a cool orange casing. This time, the new Aspire G gets a few upgrades.
Check out the specs:
- Intel Core i7 950 processor, 3.06GHz
- 12GB DDR3 RAM
- 1TB hard drive
- Two (2) Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 video cards in SLI with 4 DVI-D ports
- Blu-Ray reader
There’s just one problem – we don’t know yet just how well it cools itself. The problem with the first Predator was there were consumer reports that the units got so hot that the funky orange chassis melted. Acer voluntarily recalled several hundred Predator units soon afterwards.
Acer went back to the drawing board and has come back with this enticing new offering. Will it be free of any cooling issues? How much will it cost? When’s it hitting the shelves? The news is just around the corner.
