Acer Chrome OS Netbook Details Leaked In Error

It’s well known that several manufacturers are currently developing netbook computers that will have Google Chrome OS as the operating system of choice. Acer is one of these hardware companies and in an accidental information leak, some details of the new Acer netbook have been revealed.

Apparently, someone was filling out some Google Chrome and Linux bug reports that were related to an unannounced Acer laptop. By following the paper trail, Macles identified this computer as having an Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB SanDisk pSSD, an ambient light detector, WiFi and Bluetooth support.

The paper trails only sheds some light on the hardware components of the Acer Chrome OS netbook, but it doesn’t offer any clues on a possible price or release date. Macles does speculate that the release date will be fairly soon considering how far the testing has progressed.
