
PC maker Acer has announced their new notebook, the Aspire 5738DG. What’s special about this laptop is that it is Acer’s first venture into 3D technology as the laptops 15.6-inch (1,366×768 pixel resolution) display takes advantage of TriDef 3D technology.
In order to see the 3D effects, you will need to use those passive 3D glasses that are commonly given out in movie theaters. The Acer laptop is not limited to just 3D viewing but also supports the more traditional 2D viewing for internet browsing, reading email and accessing personal files.
Under the hood, the Acer notebook has a 2.23 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, ATI HD 4570 graphics with 512MB VRAM, 802.11b/g/n wireless WiFi networking, 8x DVD burner, webcam and a gesture supporting trackpad.
The Acer notebook will ship with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit pre-installed and will retail for $799.99.
