This anti-terrorist armored vehicle which resembles a two person golf cart (minus the armor) is called the MetalTech A-TAC. The design idea for this armored car came about from the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks after which Indian security forces realized that they needed a vehicle that was agile but also provided security personnel a certain level of protection from projectile weapons.

A-TAC stands for Anti-Terrorist Assault Cart and this cart lives up to its name, capable of withstanding a grenade assault from close range. The cart has a capacity of two security guards and is small enough to move about in close quarters be it in a crowded sports stadium or a hotel lobby.
This armored vehicle comes with bulletproof windows and body and includes four vantage points through which armed personnel can return fire on the assailants. The unit is also electrically powered. A full charge will offer six hours of use and top speed is 25km/h (15mph).
It will be interesting to see how much value this device has in the “war on terror” or if the $45,000 price per vehicle will be cost prohibitive.
