Are you a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note? Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on, there is no denying that this Samsung product has generated a lot of interest about screen sizes on mobile phones with the question being, just what screen size is considered to large?
To put some perspective on this, the Samsung Galaxy Note comes in with a 5.3-inch display screen and today, we can find Android tablets that have a 7-inch screen. When Samsung came out with their Galaxy Note, many industry insiders were looking at this phone-tablet hybrid and saying is there really a niche for such a device? With the question having been asked, who better to answer it then a mobile carrier that hears first hand from their consumers.
According to T-Mobile, there is indeed demand for such a product. In a survey that the US carrier asked of it’s client base that is 18 years and older, a whopping 77% of customers said that their preference was for a device that had a screen size that was at a minimum 4.5 inches. This screen size is a full inch larger then what we find on the Apple iPhone. One may wonder just why T-Mobile would ask such a question of its user base and the reason behind it has to do with the fact that in the next couple of weeks, the company will be launching the Galaxy Note. If the Galaxy Note sells as well as what T-Mobile expects, I’m sure we’ll see a few more phablets being launched in the coming months.
