The wait is finally over, the Sony PS3 will be available in North America starting November 3rd. The timing of the announcement is perfect as it coincides with the busy shopping season to come. The new game console will retail for $349.99 which is slightly lower then what it can be picked up for in the UK.
The new PS3 will include a 250GB hard drive, which is double the storage capacity as that offered on the 120GB PlayStation 3 Slim. Other then free hard drive space, the other features are pretty much the same.
When you see the specifications and price for this console, it really puts into perspective the $600 60GB PS3 that Sony had been selling.
