Growing and maintaining plants could not be easier with the Pet Plant by Junyi Heo. The Pet Plant pot can recognize soil conditions such as water levels, temperature, and humidity. Based on these measurements, the pot will generate a score for the plant living conditions, which it then represents pictorially on an LCD display.

Most upper end homes usually have underground sprinkler systems that automatically turn on and off at certain hours of the day, thereby giving the home a manicured lush green lawn. What you see quite often is these sprinkler systems turn on regardless of weather conditions. It could be raining heavily, yet the sprinkler system is still watering the lawn.

Sapporo brews first space beer

Japanese brewery Sapporo Holdings announced that they intend to make the first space beer using a third generation barley that spent five months on board the International Space Station. The thought behind this project is down the road, as man spends more time in space, there will be a need to make a home like atmosphere as who knows, an astronaut may come back from work, put his feet up and drink a cold beer.
